Dear Mr. and Mrs. Bochum,
I am writing to you on behalf of The Educational Equality Institute, a Norwegian non-profit dedicated to opening a window of opportunity for girls and women affected by war through specialized education. Our mission is to provide these resilient souls with the opportunities they desperately need to rewrite their narratives in the face of adversity.
After a recommendation from Mrs. Elaine Barles, I am reaching out to request your support through our program Together for Ukraine. Your backing can dramatically amplify our efforts and impact.
As you know, the ongoing conflict in Ukraine has halted the educational journey of Ukrainian women and girls. This might, through no fault of their own, cost many their personal and professional futures. By offering targeted educational and language programs, scholarships, and vocational training, our organization seeks to mend these broken paths and create avenues for safety, stability, and success.
Why Support Education for Ukrainian Women and Girls?
Transformative Impact: Educating women is one of the most powerful tools to improve a community’s economic and health outcomes. Each girl we educate is a seed planted for a future of informed and empowered community leaders.
Sustainable Development: Your grant will aid in developing sustainable educational infrastructure that provides long-lasting benefits not just to individual girls, but to their families, communities, and the country at large.
Crisis Response: Education offers stability—a sense of normalcy and hope in tumultuous times, fostering resilience and psychological well-being.
How Your Grant Will Help
Improvement of Educational Programs: With your support, we can offer fair pay to Ukrainian teachers, consistently improve our curriculum to match market opportunities, and increase our outreach to more communities.
Scholarships: Your funding will provide critical scholarships to girls and women who are at risk of discontinuing their education due to financial hardships.
Vocational Training: We aim to introduce new vocational training programs that cater to the evolving job market, ensuring that women are not only educated but are employable.
A Heartfelt Connection
Every contribution to our cause is a lifeline. Last year, thanks to our generous donors, we were able to help over 250 girls aged 9 to 18 years old. One admirable case we're constantly inspired by is Maria, a young girl from Kyiv who was joined our program to complete her high school degree, and who in the midst of outstandingly challenging circumstances, managed to became the first in her family to attend university. She is now pursuing a degree in computer science at the Technical University of Munich, dreaming of rebuilding her community. Stories like Maria's are the living testament to the impact of your generous support.
Both TEEI and Mrs. Barles believe your commitment to fostering educational opportunities aligns perfectly with our goals, and together, we can set into motion a powerful ripple effect of empowerment and change. Enclosed are our project proposal and budget overview for the upcoming year. We hope you will consider partnering with us to light up countless futures through education.
Thank you for considering our request. We are eager to discuss this partnership further and invite you to contact us at your earliest convenience. Together, we can forge a path of hope and resilience for Ukrainian girls and women.
Warm regards,
Mila Navarro
